RedFenyx’s FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions

Many people asked me some question of how I make my stuff.
As answering in all deviations is too disorganizing, I 've decided to concentrate questions and answer here.
I won't answer in a single deviation anymore, so please make your question here as I'll be happy to dispel all your doubts :aww:

    1) What material do you use for your sculptures?
I use polymer clay, a thermosetting composition.
(It become solid through baking it in a oven)
I know that there are also air drying clay, but I
    have never used it.
Some times I use acrylics to decorate particulars.
As brand I prefere FIMO clay, already coloured one.

    2) Where do you find these materials?
I usually buy all my materials on the net, but they are
also available in art stores as well.

    3) How do you glaze your stuff?
I use FIMO glaze, or sculpey one, both water based.

    4) Do you make them all by yourself?
Yes, except for boxes, plates and glasses.

    5) What do you use to make water?
    It’s a bi-component resin.

    6) Did you make any tutorial?
At the moment no, maybe in the future… But I still
    don’t know!
I always have not enough time =P

    7) How long do you take to make a sculpture?
Long time, usually I make just 3 simple characters for
    evening =P
Then I have to bake, glaze and then assemble them into
    necklaces etc.
Of course other sculptures (bigger ones) take
    more long.

    8) Where do you get your inspirations?
Every where! Some just come out from my fantasy, other
looking around or in my past and childhood.
I also love getting inspiration from books and
    tales! :aww:

    9) Can I buy Your stuff?
Sure! You can find them in my Etsy shop
You can also send me a note or an e-mail.

    10) Do you accept commissions?
Yes (I will make a journal for it in the future)

    11) Do you make art trades?
:bulletblack: No, I'm sorry, but I'm
not able to make trades at the moment :( :bulletblack:
